ANÁLISIS DE PERCEPCIÓN DE VALOR Y DISPOSICIÓN A PAGAR LAS CARRERAS DE RUNNING

Resumen

El running recreativo ha evolucionado de la competencia hacia el entretenimiento y la experiencia personal. Este estudio exploratorio, de enfoque mixto, se realizó con una población formada por seguidores de la página Disfruto Correr en Facebook, conformando una muestra intencionada de 1,200 comentarios (60% hombres y 40% mujeres) recolectados de una publicación altamente relevante. El método consistió en minería y análisis semántico de texto, integrando técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas: los comentarios públicos fueron extraídos mediante scraping, posteriormente limpiados, normalizados y segmentados, y analizados usando categorización manual y estadística de frecuencias para identificar patrones de valor percibido (funcional y simbólico). El proceso de análisis se apoyó en la codificación abierta, validando categorías como valor funcional (centrado en servicios, kits, organización y precio) y valor simbólico (relacionado con comunidad, salud, prestigio y causas sociales). Los resultados muestran que predomina el valor funcional (37%) y simbólico (31%) con diferencias claras de género: hombres priorizan aspectos tangibles, mujeres lo simbólico y relacional. Un 22% combina ambas perspectivas y un 10% rechaza la mercantilización del running. Las palabras más frecuentes correr, medalla, precio, comunidad, reflejan tanto intereses funcionales y simbólicos. Respecto a la disposición a pagar, la mayoría acepta costos medios o altos, aunque un segmento sigue prefiriendo opciones accesibles o gratuitas. Estos resultados subrayan la necesidad de estrategias de segmentación, comunicación de valor y diversificación de productos para atraer y satisfacer los distintos perfiles de corredores, favoreciendo la inclusión y la sostenibilidad de los eventos deportivos.
