Abstract

The purpose of this work was to analyze the implicit theories of the students (teachers in training) of the Degree in Physical Culture, Recreation and Sports of the Universidad del Atlántico of the city of Barranquilla (Colombia) as practitioners in educational institutions or schools of sports training, on body-kinesthetic intelligence, in order to understand the conditions and dispositions to develop this type of intelligence in its educational process. His method was framed in the qualitative approach, of interpretive turn, with the narrative modality. The information collection techniques used were observation and open interviews, with descriptive, structural and contrast questions. Among the results it is noteworthy that body-kinesthetic intelligence is evidenced through motor and argumentative skills and different cognitive styles and techniques are established that favor its stimulation and development, therefore, determining, knowing and activating the cognitive processes generated by Starting from the pedagogical interventions in the physical education classes and in the sports practices coordinated by the teachers in training, they favor the development of corporal-kinesthetic intelligence in the students.
