Call for papers for Oikema Journal, volume 2, number 3. October, 2023

The reactivation of the Oikema Journal, volume 2, number 3 (October 2023) is dedicated to an online monograph on the Master's degree in Territory, Conflict and Culture on the occasion of its 15 years of operation, in which its students and graduates can participate and teachers.

Articles derived from research in progress or completed research are received. They are subjected to blind peer review before their possible publication on the Open Journal System platform of the University of Tolima. Ongoing research articles should emphasize the chosen theoretical perspective, problem statement, justification, hypothesis, objectives, research questions, and methodological development and obtain some preliminary results. The finished research articles must comply with the structure of the scientific method, adapted to each disciplinary tradition that, in addition to the components mentioned above, incorporate the results and conclusions.

The publication topics obey the three academic axes of the Master's degree: territory, conflict, and culture, which are found in its Educational Project (Master's Degree in Territory Conflict and Culture University of Tolima, 2021). The territory is understood from the holistic relationship of the territory subject as a doubly natural product, that is, from the strictly natural conception and the second nature, the cultural one. The conflict is addressed from different social, cultural, ideological, and symbolic expressions to know, interpret, understand and build alternatives for its assertive resolution within the framework of existing theories and new theories arising from research in various contexts. The Master recognizes culture as an object of academic interest in different disciplines and fields of study based on scenarios such as those proposed by cultural studies or critical theory of culture (Master in Territory Conflict and Culture University of Tolima, 2021).
