Abstract

The article sheds light on the how, what, where, and why of the women of Cajamarca's involvement during the social struggle in defense of natural resources and territory and the environmental public consultation carried out in said Colombian municipality. The document is a compilation of narratives about the sustainability of life through horizontal dialogues and active listening between the protagonists and the authors. Shared are experiences, dreams, emotions, and methodologies. The four stories highlight the protagonists' contributions in both private and public spheres, tastes, and knowledge essential for life care. While women were active on the front lines within the civil movement, the structural gender inequality denied them this recognition.
