Abstract

The objective of the review was to present the history of the Brazilian volleyball and the benefits of physical education for this sport during 1982 and 1983. The article consists of two chapters that are divided between the years of 1982 and 1983. In each chapter are presented the main events about the Brazilian volleyball and the physical education of this nation. In conclusion, the study of the history of Brazilian volleyball is important for the student to understand how this nation became Olympic power in this modality.
